Having checked the last BIOS update supports 4133mhz + OC  on the formula.

there's discussion over at the ROG boards that GSkill doesn't support "hi-speed" memory for the Formula. Look,  just spend an hour over at the ROG forum and you'll begin to understand that feature based mobos are hit and miss with high speed memory ...and to the many that can get the "hi-speed" kits to work, with non Apex boards, are using timings that defeat the performance advantage over 'standard'  memory. And again, that's if they can get the kit's to work.

I will be building a new system with an Asus ROG Strix Z370-F.

I know it's not top-of-the-line stuff, but I hope it's still a good motherboard. I will post something hopefully later this week when the system is up!

  • SYSTEM SPECS: Intel Core i7 8700k @ 4.9 Ghz ● Asus ROG Strix Z370-F ● 16 GB DDR4 3200MHz ● Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 G1 GAMING ● Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB
  • SIMULATORS: Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4.3 ● X-Plane 11.25 ● Falcon BMS 4.33
