August 20, 20187 yr It seems that any post that constructively criticises PMDG gets deleted mysteriously ? why is that? Even when its constructive and accurate it vanishes. This is reminiscent of the third Reich or some other autocratic regime where no one can give an opinion thats contrary to that of the management. A smart company would welcome constructive criticism because it helps improve the product. Its seems that PMDG has a big issue with pride here where they cant accept that they may have got some bits wrong or some things may need improvement. Unfortunately even with pilots and engineers involved in development there are many items that still get missed. Its a shame that this company is so short sighted and touchy that is cant see the positive benefits of listening to constructive criticism from qualified and skilled professionals that are willing to give their advise for free. Ive no doubt that kyle is behind the deletion , this a guy who has admitted he doesn't really appreciate graphical detail in the past and based on his own personal disregard for it decides to dismiss its importance on behalf of everyone and the company he works for which is ultimately damaging progress and therefore profit not aiding. He may be knowledgeable on the technical side of things however he is not being impartial or able to accept a broader perspective. That is what any company employing such a person to moderate their forum needs. The forum should be a place where anyone can discuss or criticise without being shut down , and thats something pmdg have claimed in the past to be that case. Clearly its not the case and narrow-mindedness still prevails here. Many other addon companies seem to thrive off such feedback and openly encourage it. Not here. Which in turn encourages certain forum users to jump on anyone who dares to speak up here. We all know who these narrow minded individuals are. Easy to do from behind a pc keyboard but i wonder if youd be so brave face to face.......... Its a sad fact that the PMDG forum has and still does have a reputation for being a pretty hostile place for new comers or anyone asking questions or pointing out defects etc. Weve all seen the small minded attacks time and time again over the years and the company has done nothing to prevent it. Isnt it time for a change? keith levan Edited August 20, 20187 yr by kav1
August 20, 20187 yr You have only been a member of Avsim Forums for one year. PMDG has been around since at least 2005. I have not seen your post before it was deleted. However, the PMDG folks here on the forum are pretty thick skinned and not prone to knee jerk reactions, which you seem to indicate. I am an unbiased bystander, but stand up for PMDG's reputation as a first class operation. They are quick to offer assistance, always willing to help. There are rules they adhere to and expect us posters to do so as well. I just can't stand someone trying to portray PMDG as using gestapo tactics, etc. Every one has an opinion, we don't and never will ALWAYS agree on everything. That is human nature. But please, don't claim they act like a word not allowed regime. I do not recall ever seeing the censorship of posts here on the forums, unless there is content that is against forum policy. All the ranting and name calling is pure childish. Grow up! If you have a personal issue with PMDG, take it up with their staff via proper channels, do not air dirty laundry in an immature manner here. It is only going to get locked/removed at some point if allowed to continue. None were provided in the previous post. If you have pictures that prove what your claims please sumbmit them via ticket and will make sure that the development team gets them. You can open a ticket through support.precisionmanuals.com. i I’ll lock this thread so that it won’t get out of hand as well Edited August 20, 20187 yr by Olympic260 Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com
