Real Weather

Featured Replies

Hi Guys. I'm trying to get things set up correctly with aircraft and now using real weather. Downloaded real weather earlier and used the  Alabeo Diamond DA40 and X Plane 10. On the ramp I'll get off the brakes to taxi but the aircraft doesn't want to turn left or right and when it does and I turn it again it stops...like putting on the brakes. I'll try to get going straight before I turn but even that's difficult. Not only that but when I do get going...sometimes I'll get spun around almost 90 degrees while I'm still trying to taxi on the ramp...then I'll start rolling again and I'll turn left or right and the plane all of a sudden stops moving. Sorry but I didn't check to see what the winds were...just assumed they were local normal winds and not hurricane force. This doesn't happen if I don't use real weather. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks.

Ground handling in XP has issues and is awful when there is a crosswind. There are changes in the flight model planned for the upcoming version 11.30 that _might_ improve things. So I don't think you have hope to improve things unless you transition to XP11.

Thanks Murmur...didn't seem to effect the default aircraft...just Alabeo Diamond DA40 and the Pipersport to a lesser degree.
