More mouse buttons

Hi again. Sorry for bothering you, I know I just posted, but I have another q.

I have a mouse with 10 buttons on it. With Chaseplane I have assigned stuff for left, right, scroll wheel and pressing the scroll wheel, but is there a possibility of assigning the other buttons?

Thanks, Gaz

I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him run faster. If anything, that made him more sluggish.

Hello Gary,

You can assign buttons for any controllers you have connected.  For instance, I have the zoom functions (Zoom in/out) mapped to buttons on my Saitek Yoke, while all other functions are mapped to the XBox controller (cost of which was about 11 pounds).

Best wishes.

Hmmm... I'm clearly not doing it properly. I'll have another look and see if I've missed something.

Thanks Dave

Just looking at it now, I can see that none of the additional buttons work at all in P3D - it's not just a Chaseplane thing.  Is it possible that's the problem? When in Chaseplane do I say I have extra mouse buttons?

I still can't get it to work. Is it something to do with FSUIPC ? I have not got it managing my joystick or anything (although it is installed). I just can't see how that would help...

Hmmm... Nothing to do with FSUIPC - actually, I fixed it by using the driver of the mouse! I clearly hadn't set the mouse buttons up properly in Windows!

This may be a driver issue for whatever device your trying to get to work.   Joystick AXIS usually don't require drivers to work in P3D, but buttons on the controller sometimes do.

Well, I don't know if it was a driver issue, but I've used the driver to tell Windows what to put through to any app if any of the additional buttons are pressed. It means it's not perfect if I'm outside of P3D, but I don't mind! It's working well now.

Hope you're well, Gaz
