Emergency and Approach change automatically

Recommended Posts

Hello Dave,

Do you think of adding a function to declare an emergency? This would allow us to be able to report to the nearest airport with the STAR procedure and track according to the METAR. This function will allow you to choose several airports according to our type of plane, or automatically the biggest airport.

When winds change during the flight, will it be possible to change the STAR approach and the track automatically by PILOT2ATC at least until the TOD or an altitude lower than the TOD chosen by the user?

Thank you again for this wonderful software that I use now for a while.

Mickael.

Mickael,

Emergency operations are on the list of possible future enhancements.

If you uncheck the "Force Pilot Runway Selection" option on the FltPln tab of config, and you have the "ATC Assigns STAR" and the "ATC Assigns Approach" options checked, P2A will recalculate the recommended arrival and approach prior to giving descent instructions and if warranted, a new runway/approach will be assigned.

Dave
