Removing deafening click sounds from FS9 menus?

Featured Replies

Hallo friends :) A small issue ...but one that makes you jump and your ears protest if you are wearing headphones...As you all know when you navigate through the FS9 menus and press the various buttons they make that annoying loud CLIK sound. Like on this screen for example:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/ThrottleUp/CSR.jpgFor example when you press the "Flight Planner" button = CLIK http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/sauer/angry-smiley-019.gif http://www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk/boa...es/icon_eek.gifPlease could you tell me where this sound is located so I can edit it and reduce its volume to almost nothing. I have looked in the Sounds folder but have not been able to locate it (even though there were some other click sounds there I muted). Thanks!!

I know what you mean :) and the nice thing with FSX you have the option to turn it off :D. Anyhow, look in the UIRES folder for "btnstdc", "checkc", "click" and "radioc". I think that covers them all

Thank you Alaister!!!!! That worked perfectly. Deleted all of them...now its all nice and quiet :)As usual these files were sitting right under my nose...never did think fo the UIRES folder though http://www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk/boa...con_redface.gif
