GNS 530W/430W r/w owners: we request your help!

Featured Replies

Hi,

We're further working on the Reality XP GNS V2 SBAS features and we're now able to activate not only WAAS but EGNOS, MSAS and GAGAN as well. In short: the RXP GNS V2 may offer LPV approaches throughout Europe, Asia and India!

Now, enabling a software feature is one thing, offering a simulation of the real device is another thing.

Therefore, since we are nearly ready for releasing our update, I'm looking for feedback ASAP from real owners/flyers of the Garmin GNS 530W/430W having SBAS capabilities in their devices:

1) What is the GNS version (530W or 430W)

2) What are the SBAS options you can enable/disable in: AUX page #4 / SBAS selections?

3) What are the Main SW and GPS SW versions shown on the boot page?

I thank you in advance for your assistance with this!

NB: please don't post if you don't own or fly a GNS 530W/430W in real life.

Sorry, only just seen this, but if it's not too late, here are the specs from the 430W fitted to our UK based aircraft:

Version is a GNS430W, fully SBAS and LPV certified

On Aux page #4, the options are EGNOS, MSAS and WAAS only

The Main SW version is 5.20 and the GPS SW version is 5.00

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,

It is never too late, thanks a lot!

We've released v2.4.4 with the SBAS selections and this shows like in the screenshot above. Your feedback confirms this is the way it is too, so all is fine!
