August 27, 200619 yr True to life. A Seneca V with full tanks and a few passengers can put you at or above max gross. Not a particularly fast or powerful aircraft as is common for many light twins.
August 28, 200619 yr Come now Barry, you cannot compare the Seneca to the Cheyenne!(440hp turbocharged/5000lb/2 bladed 76in screw,2200SHP turboprop/12000lb/4 bladed 106in screw)You are right the Seneca isn't fast.In clear conditions I can normally cruise at 170KTAS and climb at 100fpm no trouble. You only have 220HP a side and a 500lb airframe,I finfd the performance just a tad down on a Baron.Best WishesAshley Sear(G4MGD-Licensed since 1981)http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg
