September 3, 200619 yr I enjoyed working on the modified AFCADs for Lionheart's Kodiak Adventures Bolivian flights so much it reminded me of other fun and challenging mountain flight simming I have done in the past. Roger Jedikian of Neuroflight did a freeware Courchevel scenery a while back that introduced many of us to landing on a steeply sloped runway at the Courchevel resort in France. If you recall this you also recall that Tyrolean used to operate a Dash 7 out into and out of this incredible runway. Curiousity got the best of me this weekend and I purchased LLH's Alpes 1 package which includes a beautifully rendered Courchevel as well as many other sloped runway airports and some colorful local ambiance to boot including working ski lifts and gondolas. These are a total hoot to fly in and out of and I finally managed to bring FSD's Navajo into Courchevel... whew! That's exciting both for landing and takeoff. Of course the new Saab Safir and Eric Dantes Socata Rallye are perfect choices for this type of flying too. If you are into this kind of challenge flying smaller aircraft I give it a very high recommendation.Have fun flyin'Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
