July 31, 200619 yr Hi FolksFrom other posts & reviews on FSX, there will be AI vessels plying the oceans.Could someone please comment on how the codes for these ports will be designated.i.e. Will they use -a) A 'faked' ICAO (4 char code).:( The IATA port's codes (5 char code), already designated.c) Some other nomenclature. If option a) Then the scope for additional ICAOs for ports is very limited. If option :(Given that AFCAD already supports a 5 char identifier,as do the FS2002 & FS2004 got to airport dialogs, yet TTools doesn't,when will we see a 'flightplan' compiler capable of handling 5 char designators ?Is there a 5 char 'flightplan' compiler already available anywhere ?If option c)When will this data be available ?Many thanksATBPaul DonnellyAdmin for FS-Shipyards & The Offshore Development Grouphttp://www.fs-shipyards.orghttp://www.basys.f9.co.uk/resources/images..._sig_500x94.jpg ODG Preview
July 31, 200619 yr I dont know, but i looked at your web site and your stuff is very nice.I hope you can really up the realism in FSX with realistic sea traffic including pleasure craft that only come out in fine weather, fishing boats, regional boats (ie junks in hong kong harbour etc). Also, i really hope you can populate some of the worlds harbours with lots of appropriate ship traffic. I would love to see good traffic around singapore, in the straights of melakar, hong kong, manilla bay, new york, sydney etc. How about the english channel ferries too.I think you're going to have a good platform to work your magic even better in FSX.Thanks :-jumpy
