Invisible aircraft Problem (Help me ASAP)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a big problem with FSX. Recently, I installed some new aircrafts. They worked ok and everything looked ok, but then, randomly while I was playing with a plane's flaps, the whole plane became invisible. If I use the 1st person view in the Cockpit it's fine, but when I look at it from outside (from any angle) it's literally invisible, there is no plane (but the shadow and the lights are visible).

This thing happens with every single aircraft (even with the default ones).

Can anyone please help me solve this problem? I would really appreciate it!

Have a good day.

As I recall, the solution is to disable the option: "Aircrafts cast their shadows on the ground" .  The aircraft should also be compatible with FSX/SP2 or FSX/Acceleration.  Some aircraft are not DX10 compatible.  If you uncheck DX10 Preview and restart FSX, and the aircraft appear, then they are not DX10 compatible.  Some others fixed the problem by renaming their fsx.cfg to fsx.off, restarting FSX and letting the config rebuild.  Means a tweak or setting has caused the issue.
