Will this ever be fixed?

I don't have that issue anymore. I have a Saitek switch panel and had that happening a few times and found it to be the switches themselves so I use some contact cleaner and cleaned  them. I don't know if that is similar to your issue but it fixed mine.

CPU: Intel i9-11900K @5.2 / RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 / GPU: 4080 16GB /
