I recently purchased the RealityXP Garmin GNS 430 (FltSim). I am having trouble finding the add-on menu in FSX. I tried the shift right click feature as instructed and still no add-on. Is there someone at Reality XP I can contact directly for support with this issue? Perhaps a step by step guide would do.

Can you please cross check the User's Manual troubleshooting section, which has a chapter just for this?

Also, there might be a delay preventing the menu from displaying right away in the latest build. This will be fixed in the next update coming up soon, but in the meantime, you might want to try right clicking then left clicking any FSX menu to force the 'add-on' menu to display if it doesn't yet.

I found one of the three Log Files in My Documents:

The gauge log file: "My Documents\rxpGNS2.gau.log" Not Found

The GNS Simulation log file: "My Document\rxpGnsSim.dll.log" Not Found

The add-on menu log file: "My Documents\rxpGNS2_menu.dll.log" I found this one.

Hi,

The error you're referencing suggests that the version of SimConnect that GNS V2 uses for the menu isn't installed (error 5 means "VERSION MISMATCH")

The GNS V2 installer does install the SimConnect client for FSX-SP2/ACC. Can you confirm you are running at least FSX-SP2? What is the version number of your FSX.exe? (right click | properties | details)

Thank you. This is FSX RTM version. You need to update your FSX to at least SP2 or ACC, which is the minimum requirement for our product.

SP2 is v10.0.61472.0
ACC is v10.0.61637.0
