F22 folder name and alternate suitable default aircraft

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Somehow I managed to delete the default F-22 folder.

1. What is the folder name (exact text) of the default F22?

2. What other default aircraft is suitable to load when I start up P3D? Is the Fury 1500 suitable? I usually use it for checking out scenery and other quick tests.

3. Am I going to experience other issues if the F22 is deleted? I never fly it, but I know it isn't a good idea to delete default aircraft.

Actually, I'm not sure if I deleted it, or if it has something to do with my testing/playing with the Beta AIG AI Manager this morning. Maybe I did a drag and drop by mistake? All I know is the F22 was there an hour ago and now it isn't (and it is not in my recycle bin). I know it is not there, because P3DV4 can't see it when I start a flight. I also don't see it in the airplanes folder.

Thanks.

Howdy,

While I am aware that this is not the most fascinating topic, I'm at least hoping that someone could look in their P3DV4 folder and give me the name of the F22 folder. Having the exact name may help me locate where the aircraft ended up.

Of course, if anyone has any insights on the other questions, that would be great.

I ended up switching the default aircraft to the F16 and it seems to be operating properly.

Thanks!

Thanks. Well it is still there and the folder appears to be intact.

I way working with the AI Manager and for some odd reason the aircraft.cfg got messed up. Perhaps it was when I tried the renumber flightsim option? Either way, AIG did back it it up so the F22 is now visible to P3D

Why don't you just repair the client/content? (i don't remember which it was)

I could have but I'm on 4.3. I didn't see a download for the 4.3 content, just 4.4. I'm sure it was there somewhere, but knowing the full folder name was a lot easier and was also successful. Thanks for providing it.

Also, I would have never realized that it was actually the AIG AI manager that hosed it had I updated the content/client.
