GTN 650 // Black screen problem, so far unsolvable

Featured Replies

Dear all,

First of all - Merry Christmas, and thank you for your hard work! :)

I'd take a moment to report my issue with RXP GTN 650. In the simulator, when the unit is supposed to power up, only black screen shows. During troubleshooting, I've reinstalled both RXP and Garmin products. They are currently at their default paths, if that makes a difference.

If I launch the Garmin Trainer directly, it shows the same problem, that is, the unit that pops up from the Launcher won't power up properly but black screen remains.

C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTN\nonvol is empty, no files present. I've tried to play around with rights, based on other topics with similar issues, but if attempting to change the permissions, they are reset back to only "Special permissions".

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi,

Merry Christmas to you, thank you!

I wish you wouldn't have to deal with this issue though.

The permissions are normal ("special"), this is a "special" folder for Windows. However, it is possible there is another factor involved.

Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see User's Manual for file/path).

Okay, I noticed that when starting to load the simulator, the following error dialogs are given in the background:

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load iop_d.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load iop_com.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load iop_nav.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load iop_waas.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load nav_main.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load prx_main.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load dbm_main.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load tws.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load iop_e.dll GetLastError: 126

Error: LoadLibrary failed to load apth.dll GetLastError: 126

Thank you for the additional information. There is an existing discussion with this specific issue and I'd suggest you review the 4 pages of it and let us know whether any of the resolution steps documented in it are helping you resolving the problem. It is a long discussion but it has lot's of useful information:
