The only thing that bugs me. It did in 2004, but could be improved with Mipmap. No Mipmap in FSX, so can anyone suggest possible ways to reduce / do away with the shimmer? I'm very happy with everything else, maxed out and framerate locked on 27.AMD 4000+Geforce 6800GT2 gigs RAM

Hello Icarus,I have an ATI card and I enable 'Adaptive Anti-Aliasing' to (nearly)get rid of that shimmering. It has something to do with the need to AA the alpha channel to make the shimmering go away, which is what Adaptive AA does. I believe Nvidia cards also have this capability but Nvidia just has a different name for the feature.Hope that helps,OTS
