I just checked EBGames to see if everything was on schedule and the deluxe editions date slipped from 10/3 to 10/17...the standard edition stayed the same...very strange

Rumor has it a group of FS fans in the Netherlands have constructed a time machine that allowed them to jump ahead to 10/3 and buy out the store's stockpile.

So Microsoft are still fairly confident with 3rd October.

I honestly don't remember any "release date" announced by any e-commerce site as ever being accurate -- most of them are only ever "best guesses". The only accurate one you'll get is when the nice folks at Microsoft come out and announce one... and I don't think they did that yet. ;-)
