Conflicting installers in the Carenado Saab - FSX (resolved)

Featured Replies

Good evening,

Going from the knowledge I learned from the Carenado Cessna 337, I tried the same process of installing the GTN 750 - using installer from the drop down menu instead of the installer in the Carenado Saab folder.

If I used the add on menu, it installed the gps unit in place of the HSI. It work perfectly, but not the location I was hoping for.

I tried the installer from the Saab file. This installer removes the default FMC and places the GTN to the right of the control yoke. This is where I wanted it, but again I’m back to a gps that won’t power up.

I’d like the working GTN, but I’d like the HSI as well.

Cheers,

Figured it out.

When I use the installer in the Carenado folder, it labels the GTN 750 as F1 in the panel cfg file. If I use the installer in the Add On menu, it labels the GTN 750 as RXP in the panel cfg file.

If I change the GTN 750 gauge entries in both the windowxx and vcockpitxx sections to RXP, all seems to work.

Cheers,

colin
