Very Low Frame Rates

Featured Replies

Hi All:

Does anyone have a good fix for the mow famous Navigraph-related very low FPS? After the latest install of the Falcon I am getting frame rates at start up below 1. I have googled it and checked the Carenado support page and cannot find anything definitive that works.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Rick

Hi Rick, did you ever figure out the Falcon/Navigraph frames issue? I bought the plane last week and am waiting for a refund. I can't believe Carenado never addressed such a common issue.

Yes I or someone else discovered that this is caused by difficulty in accessing the folder I believe is called "Navigraph", or Carenado Navigraph, something like that. I seem to recall that if you install the GTN and just forget Carenado's nav system, the problem goes away. I also seem to recall that there is a discussion of this on their web page. Incidentally, this is not unique to the Falcon and I have seen it on other Carenado offerings which use the same nav. It's been awhile, but that is the gist of what I recall.

Unfortunately, I no longer own the plane as I was refunded today but I might have liked to try that as the GTN addon looks fantastic. Thanks for the info!
