  1. I do not. I've uninstalled anything between the last good startup and the gauge failure. R
  2. Hi all, First off, I apologize if this has been covered; I did not find any related posts. This is not the first time the issue below has happened but it is the first time I cannot seem to fix it. Recently, I installed FSLTL (freeware AI traffic package). Breaking the cardinal rule of adding one thing at a time, I also installed the Carenado PC12 and the Aerosoft Twin Otter. FSLTL was CTD so I uninstalled. Evidently, something went wrong and many of my gauges have become corrupted/no longer display correctly (no color, half the gauge missing or screen completely blank). I doubt it was a direct result of the mentioned add-ons but rather, just one of those things that happens when you install and uninstall files in an application as complex as MSFS. I've been working through issues like these since FS98 and could always figure them out. MSFS, however, is beyond my grasp when it comes to troubleshooting. I have tried uninstalling (deleting) and reinstalling default aircraft as well as the recent add-on A/C via the content manager - no luck. (this has worked in the past for similar issues) I have tried to 'repair' MSFS - did nothing. Am I looking at a reinstall or does anyone have an idea? Is there a way to reinstall all default gauges? I've screen capped but do not belong to any photo hosting sites. Thank you, R i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 16GB RAM GeForce RTX 2070
  3. Unfortunately, I no longer own the plane as I was refunded today but I might have liked to try that as the GTN addon looks fantastic. Thanks for the info! Delta
  4. Hi Rick, did you ever figure out the Falcon/Navigraph frames issue? I bought the plane last week and am waiting for a refund. I can't believe Carenado never addressed such a common issue. Delta
  5. First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong place or if it's been covered to death. It's never been solved. I broke down and bought a Carenado product. I loved the look of the Falcon 50. The plane flew fine while the Navigrap database was loading. Once loaded, frames went to less than one per second making the sim unusable. I have tried all the 'fixes' I found on Carenado's forum as well as anything I could find in other forums. I altered the .DLL file, I changed permissions for Navigraph files, I moved all FSX sliders to the left and turned off any eye candy. It's a Navigraph problem and it's never been dealt with. Carenado went from offering me a different airplane to not responding to my emails. Can somebody help? Thank you, Delta FSX deluxe edition in Win 10 on an i7-9700K, NVIDIA GEforce RTX2070
  6. n4, Well son of a gun, that was it. lol I use EZdok and it often does that but I didn't even think of that. Thank you! D
  7. Hello, I am swapping VC's from two addon Lears and for some reason, the panel does not show up. The AC are Xtreme Ptototype Lear 20 (panel going into) Franz Luftfahrt's Lear 23. What I have done: Replaces the Panel folder, replaced the interior .mdl file, edited the Model config appropriately, copied any texture files that indicated cockpit and added them to the common texture folder in the new plane. I'm thinking this is where I went wrong. When I load the plane, the 2D pop ups display with the shift keys as normal but the VC is not there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I should not that I am no stranger to modifying AC, panels or configs in fsx but I do have limited experience with swapping VC panels. Thank you, Delta
  8. Old post I know but I only installed this recently and was experiencing the same issue. Thanks to mstreibig, I need not experiment with values and can just plug in your numbers. Should anyone come across this post and find it useful, I'll add something to it. While editing the config, go ahead and change the default vertical speed value from 2500 to something a little easier to work with.
  9. Hi Golyaht, I've been away from painting myself for a while. I'm looking for someone to help me with some fun projects. I'd love to have the Captain Sim 737-200 done up in a private livery (N912NB) as well as the Captain Sim 767-200 done in a private livery (N767KS). If you think you might enjoy doing these, let me know. Thank you, Delta Hi Golyaht, I've been away from painting myself for a while. I'm looking for someone to help me with some fun projects. 10. O.K. so...I uninstalled a bunch of add ons, uninstalled SP2 and the sim is running. The lights are back (original problem in this thread) however they appear as squares. I'll try to fix that.
  11. I do not have REX. I run XP Pro.Another odd thing is that I do not have SP1 listed in add/remove. (yes show updates is checked) It IS installed. I'm concerned that if SP1 is not properly uninstalled a fresh FSX install will not go so well. I would hate to have to re install Windows.
  12. "You needed to uninstall the Service Packs first - before you did the repair process."I did not know that. Thank you for the next time.DeltaTom, I have moved the Logbook.bin hoping that FSX would create a new on. I tried the same with the config. file and neither worked. I noticed that the EXE does not offer a line for XP service pack 2 in the compatibility window. Is this normal?Delta
  13. Could the fact that my Logbook.BIN is now a VLC Media file have something to do with the sim not booting?
  14. Yes. They were always there unmodified.I am amazed that the "Repair" utility destroyed the program completely.
