March 7, 201610 yr Old post I know but I only installed this recently and was experiencing the same issue. Thanks to mstreibig, I need not experiment with values and can just plug in your numbers. Should anyone come across this post and find it useful, I'll add something to it. While editing the config, go ahead and change the default vertical speed value from 2500 to something a little easier to work with.
