IRRITATING NERD!!!....

Featured Replies

Hi All,that's ** ME **. I'd like to introduce myself as the subject goes, because I have lot's of nice things to say about this wonderful FSX demo, I am loving it, just as many of you, ** BUT ** I still insist on a few silly details that can be as irritating as a guy like me...THE IRRITATING TURN & SLIP INDICATOR BUG:Yes, it's here, inherited from past versions. The ball works the wrong way because it is tied to the wrong internal variable, and it tends to center even if you have an engine failure in you twin, suggesting you shouldn't mind about using your feet to counteract that tendency... And the turn indicator STILL doesn't measure standard rate turns - they will not last 2' as they're supposed to...THE IRRITATING LEANING BUG:Yes, you still will find that as you lean your mixture above 5000' the Fuel Flow will start rising, inititaly, and only after a few steps wil it go down, as it should right from the begining. This has to do with a long time documented bug in the engine model which makes FF directly depend on engine RPM...THE IRRITATING RW SIDESLIP BUG:The rw sideways friction, as well as rolling, are still wrong. On takeoff/landing run, under crosswind, your aircraft will sideslip accross the rw as if the tires didn't present sufficient sideways drag, and the Canadair should taxi at iddle N1 at medium TOWs...More to come...But overall, I'm VERY HAPPY with the demo!!!

You'll get a better response in here if you tone it down a little and put in the pinned organised issues thread in this forum. eg.>TURN & SLIP INDICATOR:>The ball works>the wrong way because it is tied to the wrong internal>variable, and it tends to center even if you have an engine>failure in you twin, suggesting you shouldn't mind about using>your feet to counteract that tendency... Gary, thx for the suggestion, but I find it rather difficult for taildragger to go through that already long thread identifying the various issues. Instead I would suggest a separate thread for each issue/class of problems.I find it almost impossible that problems such as those I am talking about will prevail among the scenery/aircraft detail/sound... ones, but I keep trying, specially because we know that taildragger is listening...

It's much easier to go through than having to search through threads. Starting a seperate thread will more then likely not get you more" attention. Hence the reason one thread is created to report issues.
