August 11, 200619 yr I have a quick technical question about the demo. I noticed that the settings for filtering and antialiasing seem to override whatever is set in the graphics card control panel (i.e. if I uncheck antialiasing, then FSX won't use antialiasing even if it is set in the control panel). Is this functionality intentional? Because I don't believe I have ever seen a case where the game settings were able to override the graphics card settings.
August 11, 200619 yr That's odd.I keep it unchecked in game, but have it set in graphics card settings (ATI Radeon 9600) and it works fine.EDIT: wow, sorry, didn't mean for it to show the image. Just wanted a link.http://www.laniercreative.com/brian/flightsim/1.jpg
August 11, 200619 yr Author Commercial Member Yeah I'd like to know what's going on with the AA and AF controls as well... Pretty much every game that's come out recently has in-game settings that are very specific - you can pick the different levels of AA and AF. You set the game's profile in the video card driver to "Application Preference" or whatever and then set it in the game. I never know what to do with FS because it has those vauge settings in there. How are we supposed to apply a specific level of AA or AF or stuff like transparency AA if the the sim is only able to do whatever level of each is triggered by those vauge in-game options?
