ADF and DME Audio Problem

I did a complete install of P3D V4.4 and have everything (I think) working properly except for one problem.  All my aircraft start with the ADF and DME audio on.

I can turn them off but after a few seconds they come back on. It doesn't appear to be caused by the default flight.  I loaded the P3D default and switched to my PC12 and the same problem occurs.

Any ideas on how to turn them off and have them stay off.
