July 15, 200619 yr We've all seen the previews-moving animals, traffic. Are there any HUMANS in the game other than the players?Passengers boarding your plane from the terminal would be really cool-short of that, ground staff at airports-even static ones would add to realism.I certainly would buy any addon that gave me moving humans in FS!Just my 2 centsJK
July 15, 200619 yr For quite some time I've believed that flight simulators without humans are a bit sterile. Like you, I would very much like to see the possibility of animated humans going about their business in the FS world. The good news is that there are humans in FSX. You can see them in the video that shows the burning oil rig - the humans are desperately waving at the helicopter! The animation quality look good. Just how powerful or versatile the human element in FSX will be, we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully Microsoft will release more information about this in the near future. Best regards, Chris
July 15, 200619 yr I too sure hope that human passengers are included. I was a aircraft dispatcher a while back and passengers boarding was such a major part of loading and gives the pilots a reason to wait before departing. This is what I think FS has lacked in the past (a REASON to do something). Without passengers or baggage loaders, what would be the point in taking your time programming your FMS? You would just quickly load a pre-created root and get on your way, totally losing the sense of realism. It would also be good to have human passengers in the aircraft in such roles as flight crew. For example if a developer created a rescue helicopter and placed a human in the back to control the winch, would it be good to see him lowering the winch to those guys on the oil rig and pulling them up.It has already been mentioned in the latest FSX news that rope dynamics will be included for the tow plane and glider so perhaps this could be used for the cable dynamics?Oh the wishing could go on and on... :)
