Greetings All,

Looking for input if there's any Pros/Cons to having a video capture card installed?  (i.e. Elgato HD60 Pro of 4k60 Pro).

I'm currently having a new machine built and that's an option.  Wasn't sure if it would be beneficial down the road if I opted to start streaming content to YouTube or Twitch.

OBS is able to capture from in the GFX card and use very little resources while leveraging the new features of the 20XX series cards.....Even with the 980TI I was able to stream or record video with little effect on SIM resources....

If you were going to make a separate Streaming PC that you "Capture" in and stream from -- then having a (or more than 1) capture cards would make sense.
