June 3, 200620 yr The current (FS2004) SDK, unless I am overlooking something, only has two sets of data left where one has to find/build a tool to generate a BGL: LWM and VTP. Will this data in BGLs in future be created from some sort of definition language (perhaps XML based) rather than finding/building a tool to do this ?Regarding 3D objects, even in FS2004, officially there is no way to add a few BGL opcodes to display 3D objects conditionally or to rotate them towards the viewer etc. Will we be able to add extra BGL code around 3D objects and will these opcodes be documented again or can we still use the existing known ones ?Cheers,Siggy Siggy Schwarz
June 5, 200619 yr Author Hi,?? All BGL files must be compiled by some kind of tool. No "source code" scenery files are currently supported. BGLComp will compile most types of scenery at this point. One I know isn't included is exclude files. All I know so far is that they are changing the BGL format (might not even end in BGL any more?) to minimize the number of polygons drawn and thus improve the frame rate.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
