In what manner does ai detect wind direction after starting P3D in order to select a runway for takeoff?
And, how long does this take?

Hello

maybe this helps:

You are on ground with your airplane. As soon as the arrival AI is loaded, a runway is assigned. Departing AI will get the correct runway at the departure time, assigned in the flightplan.

So it takes some time, until arriving AI gets landing on an different runway, when the wind direction has changed.
