Payload Manager Installer shows error/s

Recommended Posts

Payload Manager Installer doesn't work for P3D v4. You can also use these instructions for other sims using the same method.

=====================================================================

PAYLOAD MANAGER NOT FINDING XMLTOOLS64.dll FOR P3D V4"

How to update the registry for P3D so the locations can be found by the installer.

1. Type regedit in the start search box.
2. Locate......... HKEY_CURRENT_USER ► Software ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D V4
3. Right click "AppPath" and select modify then update the location like this example here..........C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\
4. Now run the exe and it will say XMLTOOLS64 entry found.

=====================================================================

PAYLOAD MANAGER NOT FINDING DLL.XML FOR P3D V4"

How to create a "DLL.XML" file.

1.  Locate......... (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4
2.  Create a notepad. Name it XML.exe. Open  and insert  this info.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document version="1,0" Type="Launch">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
</SimBase.Document>
3. Click file save as and under file name enter “DLL.xml” and under Save as type choose “All Files”.
4. Now click save. Done!
=====================================================================
5. IF IT SAYS CAN’T FIND OR NO PERMISSION TO MODIFY THIS FOLDER THEN ADD THIS ENTRY INTO THE DLL.XML
<Launch.Addon>
    <Name>XMLTools64</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>

The Lear35 and the Falcon 50 installer both will create the XML entries or create a XML file is none are found and add the DLL to the main sim directory. So no need to run the XMLTOOLS installer we included from previous versions for these aircraft.
