REX EF - NO MUSS NO FUSS (POST PATCH)

Featured Replies

I use Wx themes and a product like EF adds diversity to my sim experience.  Using AUTO mode because like most simmers I want to fly, it was a no muss no fuss upgrade.

It is rare for a product like this to come along - because, for me anyway it solves the age-old problem of Wx injection smoothness while adding visual variety.

Hats off to the REX team once again.

Wx injection smoothness was solved a long time ago by HiFi; remember, EF is NOT a weather engine.  If you wish to use REX's wx engine, you'll have to do so via SF3D.  Yet, that weather engine is hardly robust; it still uses ESP's SDK, which is plagued with shortcomings.  REX does have a new weather engine in the pipeline though; I'm hoping they release one, complete product!  Regardless, I think most simmers have settled on the following options:

1.  AS16 for the weather Engine

2.  SF3D for the textures

3.  EF for the shaders

In addition to those, I use HD Airports and Envtex to create an overall immersive environment
