June 9, 20196 yr My aged X52 has reached the point where the joystick only works very intermittently. Using my multi meter I checked for voltage and continuity from the circuit board that the DIN jack on the throttle is attached to, over to the main PCB. It seems the problem is in the DIN jack and so I attempted to direct wire and bypass the jack but... it is time for a new setup. I was thinking of moving away from Saitek, maybe to the Gladiator MKII. I can still use the X52 throttle, and I read a lot of good things about this stick but Saitek seems to be popular on Avsim.
