PMDG DirectX Error: Internal System Error?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I'm migrating my stuff from one PC to another, and my PMDG 737-800/900 NGX won't install because of a really annoying DirectX error that refuses to correct itself no matter what I try.

  • An internal system error occurred.  Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem.

I tried disabling anti-virus. That didn't work.

I tried installing the DirectX SDK version. That didn't work.

Anyone know of a permanent solution? Looking to fly again, and I really want to get this out of my hair.

Regards,

AJ

Did you go to the fsx/p3d.cfg folder (as applicable) and look for "dxdiag"?  Open this document and it will show you the DX errors.  This file is generated every time there is a FSX/P3D crash.  If none was generated for your particular error, in the search box on your taskbar, type dxdiag and then look up in the menu and click on dxdiag run command.  This error is a Windows error, not a PMDG issue so you should look in your Windows folder for the files.  If you want more information about this error message, try googling the error message you received.  There are many videos and topics about this Windows error.
