Purchased FltSim version instead of X-Plane version

Featured Replies

I purchased the Reality XP 530, but it doesn't work. It shows instruction for FSX, and not X-Plane. I don't use FSX so I'm not sure what is going on. Any ideas? XP is installed correctly.

Hi,

If the product shows instructions for FSX and not X-Plane, it is because you've purchased the FltSim version instead of the X-Plane version.

This should be indicated in the purchase certificate, email confirmation, and prior the actual purchase operation, it should be indicated as a logo and text in a box on the web page you've downloaded the e-commerce installer from.

Whether you're about to purchase the XPlane or FltSim version should show in many other places like window titles, readme popups, product description text in the e-commerce installer, all this prior hitting the 'PURCHASE' button.

You might have just missed it despite our best efforts.

Oh, well then. Guess I'll pay more attention next time. Is there a way to tell what I actually downloaded?

In addition:

  • 'FltSim' product e-commerce installer file name ends with FSIM
  • 'X-Plane' e-commerce installer file name ends with XPL

I've sent you a PM.
