P3dv4 cfg Profiles

I have gotten in the habit of deleting my prepar3D.cfg file when I install a new scenery and just let P3d v4 build a new one on the next start up after the scenery installation. 

Should I also delete all my settings profiles and start completely fresh or can I keep those saved and load them back in. I usually have a couple settings profiles saved for both general aviation flying and for airliner flying. Should I delete all these profiles along with the prepar3D.cfg and start completely fresh or can I keep those settings? Does it make any difference?
