PayloadManager X not running

Featured Replies

Hello,

Program has been running since the first time i downloaded it, but for some reason .exe file doesn't run anymore, nothing happens - not even in the taskbar.

I try to uninstalled and reinstalled but i've the same issue.

I read on a topic that i should try to delete the local files of the app in C:\Users\...\Appdata\Local\Lorby-SI (or Lorby_SI) but this doesn't solve the problem.

Any idea ?

I've the latest version, windows fully updated and .net framework 4.8.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like .Net trouble, wrong version or missing assemblies. There should be either a message with more details in the Windows Event Application Log shortly after you try to start the app, or PMX will write a logfile in \Documents\PayloadManagerX Files

.Net versions don't upgrade each other, they are separate installations of the framework. Payload Manager X requires 4.6.2, so if you have only 4.8 and nothing else, the program will probably not work.

Best regards

Hello, you were right. I didn't have anymore 4.6.2 for unknown reasons (only 4.8 and 3.5). I deleted all .Net version then installed 4.6.2.

Program works like a charm now.

Thanks again !

Hello,

I am having a problem too. Been trying for hours on end to get it working but i guess i'm overlooking something simple..

I can't for the life of me, get the payload mngr to connect to p3d. checked everything, reg, .net, duplicate files, pathdefs.. you name it i've tried em all. (or so i think)

I have p3d installed on my K:\ drive. payload mngr in the default "documents" folder on c:\ Got .NET 4.0 up to 4.8 all installed and running. So.. A litlle push to a Eureka moment would be much appreciated 😉 Ive made heaps and heaps of weaponry, just can't load it.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Bob Groenewald, Netherlands

O by the way, when i try to connect the manager, the addon.xml gets renamed to addon.xml.off.

That's OK. The add-on.xml is only needed when you what PMX to start automatically when you start the simulator.

Which version of P3D are you using exactly? Generally speaking, the only reason to prevent a connection is an outdated version of the sim.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but PMX needs at least version 4.2.21.24048. The functionality that the app is based upon didn't exist in earlier versions. I would recommend to upgrade to the latest version of P3D V4.5 to be on the safe side.

Best regards

LORBY-SI

that clears it up! Will do 😉

Danke Schön!

Updated to 4.5. It connects! Hooray!! Gonna try to load up some firecrackers now. Thanks a million!

Bob.
