July 30, 20196 yr Greetings, I am not certain if others have discovered this but I thought I would pass it along. I run locked frame rates (30) with the Riva frame limiter and most of the time my flight experience is very smooth. When its not, I use SHIFT-Z to see what is happening, where it now displays MIN/AVG/MAX. The MIN value is of interest, and when things are "bad" the FPS will go to less than 1.0. The MIN value holds for about 10 seconds and then resets, making it a "living" value versus the absolute worst FPS encountered. Here are the mods to the CFG file. [TextInfo.1] // Latitude=1,1 // Longitude=1,2 Altitude=1,1 Heading=1,2 AirSpeed=1,3 WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,4 [TextInfo.2] FrameRate=1,1 AverageFrameRate=1,2 LockedFrameRate=1,3 GForce=1,4 FuelPercentage=1,5 [TextInfo.3] // Latitude=1,1 // Longitude=1,2 Altitude=1,1 Heading=1,2 AirSpeed=1,3 WindDirectionAndSpeed=1,4 FrameRate=2,1 AverageFrameRate=2,2 LockedFrameRate=2,3 GForce=2,4 FuelPercentage=2,5 While it is not explicitly stated, the AverageFrameRate shows MIN, AVG, MAX and also the percent deviation from LockedFrameRate target. Not sure that value would be of any use for pilots that fly unlimited frame rates, but for fixed FPS it is a nice bit of info.
