AI aircraft

Featured Replies

Here some ideas for ai aircrafts in FS X:Sound is based on engine type instead of aircraft type.Separate sound for engine start, taxing, take off and reverse.Smooth turns while taxing.Flight behavior while take off and landing get affected by wind speed and direction.Aircrafts follow SIDs and STARs.MfG. >Sound is based on engine type instead of aircraft type.>Separate sound for engine start, taxing, take off and>reverse.I would love to see that as well :). Reverse thrust sounds on AI jets http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/wub.gif ..... AI planes taking off with max thrust sounds ..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/wub.gif. Yes please :)---------------------------------------"If it doesn't have a VC, I won't be flying it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/smug.gif" ... hang on a minute .... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/DarrenA300/unsure.gif ... that is too restrictive! Most flight simulator planes don't have a fully functional VC .... I'm happy to fly non-VC planes such as the brilliant iFDG range, Samdim's fantastic aircraft, POSKY's wonderful planes, and many many others! I'm the richer for it :).

I'd ask for the sound of departing aircraft to filter in to the cockpit- sitting at teh hold short point, the departing aircraft should give a good rumble from being at takeoff thrust, or the appororiate buzz for props.

there is an AI sound package, which requires a little work because you have to edit each aircraft.cfg file... but it is awesome. AI sound environment is the name I Think

I tried that AI sound environment, and while I put the lines ONLY in my AI aircraft folders, for some reason every time I touched down MY plane made the reverse sound. I didnt really notice . . . until i landed the Flight1 ATR and my plane blasted my ears with jet revers sound . . . double checked the CFG file for my ATR -- wasn't even aliased to that sound.Taking out the AI Sound environment cured the issue. Hopefully FS X has a solution for this.

>I tried that AI sound environment, and while I put the lines ONLY in >my AI aircraft folders, for some reason every time I touched down MY >plane made the reverse sound. To prevent this, you have to replace the default touchdown effect with the non_ai touchdown effect within the aircraft.cfg of all your non ai aircrafts as described in the readme.MfG. I must have missed that somehow. I'll look when I get home from college tonight.
