MSI GTX1060 6GB crashing

Featured Replies

For some reason my gpu is crashing in X-Plane. It has no problem with high demand games. This started very recently and has gotten progressively worse. I have removed all add-ons from the sim, updated the sim, even uninstalled-reinstalled.

Before I start changing out gpus does anyone have any thoughts about why this may be happening that can be fixed??

Have you tried reinstalling video drivers?

XPlane graphics are built on OpenGL not DirectX like most other games, your may have a corrupted file somewhere.

Thanks Carlos, but I believe I just found the problem  --  a loose PSU connection to the GPU.

Will report back if this is not the cause.

Great, although it doesn't make sense since you did not have any issues with other "high demand" games as stated on you original post. Anyway, glad you found the culprit.

I think the reality of it is that the "other" game just wasn't putting as much load on the GPU as xplane.
