September 4, 20196 yr For some reason my gpu is crashing in X-Plane. It has no problem with high demand games. This started very recently and has gotten progressively worse. I have removed all add-ons from the sim, updated the sim, even uninstalled-reinstalled. Before I start changing out gpus does anyone have any thoughts about why this may be happening that can be fixed??

XPlane graphics are built on OpenGL not DirectX like most other games, your may have a corrupted file somewhere. September 4, 20196 yr Author Thanks Carlos, but I believe I just found the problem -- a loose PSU connection to the GPU. Will report back if this is not the cause.

Anyway, glad you found the culprit. September 7, 20196 yr Author I think the reality of it is that the "other" game just wasn't putting as much load on the GPU as xplane.
