September 18, 20196 yr Can one use the Reality XP 650 with the Carenado 182T where the G1000 is the default GPS system? I am planning to fly with an organization that has in one plane a G1000 and in another a GTN 650 and a G500. I'd like to use the simulator to practice using these various Garmin units.
September 30, 20214 yr And while we're asking... Our flying club Cardinal is in the shop to install dual GI 275s and a GFC 500. I tried flying a coupled LNAV+V with the GTN 750 and G1000... Lateral was OK and G1000 said he captured the GP but the aircraft did not descend. Should this work?
September 30, 20214 yr Hi, The G1000 is both EFIS + GPS which is making adding a GPS a little bit unexpected. Furthermore in the case of XP11, the G1000 GPS function can't be overridden so this will limit in any case the range of operational features.
