September 4, 200619 yr I am trying to copy the FS9 default 777 panel into FSX so I can use it as a temporary default twin engine jet panel until 3rd party stuff comes along. Since FSX is not even out yet this is going to be a while. I tried to copy and paste the FS9 Gauges folder into the Gauges folder on FSX but this did not work. I see the gauge files in FSX are now a bunch of CAB and dll files. So is it even possible to transfer a panel over? The default 744 panel in FSX looks to be a carry over so I would think it would not be difficult to transfer the default 777 panel over but I guess it is.
September 5, 200619 yr Author Moderator FSX is not any different than FS9 with respect to gauges, except that FS98 (single) gauges won't work at all.FS9 uses both .CAB (XML) as well as .gau © gauges...The .dll gauges in the FSXGauges folder are nothing more than .gau files with the correct extension... they are, after all, Dynamic Link Library files! ACES just decided to use the correct file extension this time around... :-lol Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
