Reducing brightness of Turbo Beaver gauges?

Does anybody know how I can reduce the brightness/whiteness of the gauges in the VC? On my system, the gauges are really very white and kind of "leap off" the panel - day and night. This is a great freeware a/c - but I am finding this to be a bit off-putting. I suspect it has something to do with something called "emmission" which I have read a little about.Anyway, this is not to be taken as a criticism of the a/c - just a request for info.Thanks Barry
