ATC has VANISHED - any help please

Featured Replies

Hello,After many years of FS operation I have a new problem which I cannot track down. All of my ATC operations have vanished. All attempts to contact it, get weather, ground, etc do not work. All voices and sounds other than this work fine - Radar Contact, Voice Buddy, Airplane sounds and callouts, etc. I can display the ATC window and request services but they do not operate - no voice and no text. Also, I noticed that the Pilot Voice Selection Window has no data in it. CAn I install this from the Disks? (anyone know what the zip files would be?)I am running FS9.1 and have had a stable system for a long time. Most recent update was going back to MYTRAFFIC 2006 to work with FSLIVE.Any ideas here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS

Hi Ron,and I'm sorry if my question is stupid: Do you have avionics turned off?Ulf B

I don't think that would make all the Pilot Voices disappear.Sounds like something happened to your Sound folder. Possible to reinstall FS9?

I had the same problem, I tracked it down to not allowing the My Traffic (I had 2004) installer to finish properly. After installation of My Traffic, it throws up a DOS window and chugs along for a good while. I was closing the DOS window before it had finished. Try reinstalling My Traffic, and let the DOS window do it's thing. Or you could reinstall the voices CAB file from the FS9 disc. I'm sure some kind soul will tell you where to find it, I'm not entirely sure.

Thanks for the help,I'll try the MYTRAFFIC first and then I'll look for the voices on the install disks. Thanks,Ron Sagel

Hello,Thanks for the tip-I did a complete reinstall of the MYTRAFFIC 2006 and the SOUND-UPDATE.The problem is now fixed. Thanks again for the help.Cheers,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS

You're most welcome Ron. My good deed for the day!
