September 19, 200619 yr In attempting to transfer my favorite FS9 add-on aircraft to FSX, I keep running into the problem of their virtual cockpits becoming invisible. The VC view is like sitting in Wonder Woman's invisible jet, like the VC doesn't exist at all. I realize we can't ask for complete backwards compatability, and a lot of models will be patched by their developers to make them fully FSX-ready, but an incompatibility this major seems strange to me. I thought perhaps there had been some change in the way the panel.cfg is written or something, but I can't discern any glaring differences between the panel.cfgs of the default FSX aircraft and my FS9 ones. Anybody have any ideas?
September 19, 200619 yr Moderator For the Beta version only! simply edit the model.cfg file to add the 'interior' model to the sim:[models]normal=ESDG Columbiainterior=ESDG ColumbiaIn the release version this extra entry will not be required, as FSX will automatically recognize pre-FSX models and display them correctly. This is necessary now because FSX models will have separate models for the exterior and interior... ;)As for the "Wonder Woman" exterior, simply copy/paste the envmap.bmp file from FS9's texture folder to the FSX texture folder. It was left out by mistake... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Thanks, you're a lifesaver.
