Featured Replies

I have many posts on the ctd's i was having and lots of people responded, thank you allI have just completely reinstalled and setup fs9, but now I have a problem I have never had beforeI start up fs9, the startup screen appears, and then after a minute or so, it disappears . it send me back to the desktop. Nothing. !Any thoughts, ideas. I have a clean install. The only thing I can think of is that the registry is corrupt.??Thoughts.Peter

A clean install of FS9 will not touch files in the Doc&Setttings/application directories. You need to delete all the .FLT files under MS/FS9 there, in particular "default" and "Previous Flight". That is a very common cause of a CTD on startup.* Orest

Do you have either IE7 or Media Player 11 installed?

ie7 installed

Peter,When I had IE7 installed, Active Sky Graphics would not run. I never had any CTD's, but when perfectly functioning programs stop working after installing new software, it's usually a sign of some unresolved issues in the new software.Perhaps you could revert back to IE6 and see if the problems are eliminated. They may not, but IE7 should be considered a potential suspect in any issues that arise unexpectedly. Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg

I did exactly what the previous poster suggested, I deleted the default and startup >flt files and moved my old ones. The program actually started but I lost all of the most recent navdata cycle.ThanksPeter
