FSX - No Aircraft-Specific Control Settings

Recommended Posts

Messing around with the demo settings this afternoon, it occured to me that although we can load and save different sets of "display settings" which includes aircraft, scenery, traffic, etc., we won't be able to do the same for "controls." I don't know if the full betas are the same way, but it it seems that the controls and calibration information is only saved to ~AppDataMSFSXControlsstandard.xml instead of the custom saved file when you hit Options -> Settings -> Save.Looks like we'll have to keep using the registered version of FSUIPC to perfrom aircraft-specific setups to include, axis, buttons, keys, etc. This is the only way I know of, for those of us who own the CH Throttle quadrant for example, to set it up for completely different kinds of aircraft. This, or use the different custom CH maps and choose one before starting FSX.I can't imagine why the controls weren't included in the save settings option.:-hmmm
