It is the subtle touches that make FSX the next leap

...in flight simulation.Flying demo two in the twin, I was struck by three things.* It is smooth, and immersive* It runs great (so far...tis just the demo) on my machine* It is full of subtleties that make it a clear winner.I've tried to upload a picture. Haven't done that in a long time, so if I goof, (and I think it's in the wrong forum anyway...I did look for screenshots) please forgive moi faux pas'bt

I agree... it will make an excellent base for new add-ons.

I agree that it looks better and from what I hear it runs more smoothly although frame rates are not necessarily great. (For me an absence of stuttering is more important than super high frame rates). My problem with a new edition of FS is that out of the box I soon tire of it, however nice it looks. I need those complex aircraft addons that are much more absorbing and challenging to operate than the default. Until such addons become workable in FSX I personaly won't be in a hurry to buy FSX. However as soon as such addons as LDS, PMDG, Cloud9, UK2000 etc etc make it over to FSX, I'll be there!! This is of course how I understand the MSFS creators intend it. That it should be an accessible platform on which highly skilled third party developers can build.
