shaders causing autogen loading extremely slow. HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi

Recently i randomly started getting a problem in my sim (prepar3d v 4.5.12) where my loading screen would get stuck on up to two hours on Loading autogen scenery. I've tried many things to fix this already and i found that after deleting the shaders HLSL folder inside the main p3d directory and reinstalling the p3d client, my loading times would go back down to about 3-10 mins most. But as soon as i reinstalled tomato shade it went back to about two hours. I have never had this before and it just randomly started happening last week inside my sim. I have no idea of any fix that i could use that wouldn't require me not to use tomato shade or other shading programs. If anyone knows a fix that would be amazing. I was thinking it could of been "Unmentionable Developer" because i reinstalled that not too long ago but i always used to be able to use tomato shade with it just fine.

Thanks

Cannot mention that Devloper or product

First off, you should never delete ShadersHLSL folder. If you need to clear shaders then you should do it in respective AppData folder. If that is done, then reinstall latest client (or HF1, if you insist) to get stock shaders. Now before you try to edit shaders with TomatoShade, also delete '_shaderbackup' folder in your TomatoShade folder. It might have all kinds of weird backups in there which can cause havoc if you try to restore from those.

It is hard to help without knowing all the information. Can you PM me then with all the data? Then I might be able to help.
