October 8, 200619 yr Be sure to turn on the option of downloading UPPER WINDS along with surface reports as found on the setup/display "Weather" TAB. This is OFF by default. It barely increases wx d'load time, but is worth the accuracy of winds aloft.Interestingly, (on a somewhat more turbulent day in FSX-last full demo as was on net) I was stunned to be flying near Beech Mt. and WOW, the turbulence was incredible right around the top, and mainly near the top of the mountain. Now, can this thing be THAT accurate. I kept flying away and then back to near the top of the mountain (5500'), and every time I got away, the turbulent shaking was much less, and back near it was downright super strong. Maybe just chance turbulence built in randomly, but I'm gonna be watching for this again.
