October 9, 200619 yr What are the advantages of trackir 4 over 3? Because I'd rather keep that 50 bucks if i can get away with it... :(
October 9, 200619 yr The 4 has a wider "view", in other words, you can move your head further and the 4 will still see it, whereas you will be out of range on the 3. This is the biggest difference to me. It also supposedly supports higher frame rates, but my machine is very old, so I don't notice that, at least I don't think I do, I'd have to do more testing. The 4 is smaller and has a more versatile stand for supporting itself (mostly affects flat screen monitor mounting, for which 4 is MUCH better).I have both, and, if you can afford it, I highly recommend the 4 over the 3. If not, the 3 is still very good, but I suggest mounting it further away from your head so you can get the best range of motion (and I highly recommend the vector addon, which is standard with the 4).You can get $30 off on the link at the very bottom of my front page.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
October 9, 200619 yr Author Also, 4 comes with vector expansion working out of the box, whereas with 3 you have to pay extra to enable it.
