I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

I woke up earlier this morning, just to try it out. My video card is not a super-duper one, just a Nvidia FX5200, so I was not expecting to see all the visuals.Ok, my trial flight: get a Cessna 172, take-off from SBJR (Jacarepagua airport, Rio de Janeiro), go VFR through the beaches, and land on SBRJ (Santos Dumont airport, Rio de Janeiro). This takes approx. 20 minutes, so it is a great flight to test in the morning without getting late for work.I have to say that I didn't feel much different from flying in the FS2004 at first. Then I started looking around and, behold, the mountains where incredibly similar to the ones in Rio. Even the Sugar Loaf has been redrawn to perfection! Was that the only surprise? No! Arriving at SRBJ, there are usually some cloud formations, almost always. So I turned downwind, and there they were! All the clouds, those nice cumulus! I entered one, the media effect was so amazing, that in my mind the only thing was "OMG, OMG, OMG, the clouds! Look at those clouds!!". The real-weather was great too. The wind gusts worked great...Next flight, tomorrow: 737-800, from KSJC to KPHX... Wish me luck!

Im surprised the 5200 videocard works OK but then you are flying the C172With the 737, you will probably fall out of texture focus, meaning blurries in the VC, but just pop over to 2D using the shortcut. As for your mother-in-law, just buy her a copy of FSX and you can play it at her house (LOL), thus pleasing your wife...maybe....allen

I am dying to see how the Amazon looks with all of the additional autogen. One of my favorite areas to fly.
